Metal Rainha was founded in Caldas da Rainha in 2024 by two partners set on building a business of their own, starting from almost nothing.
The company was established by partners Lucas Costa and Andrei Popovici, and formally incorporated as Aços Indestrutíveis, Lda. on 24 May 2024.
The name comes from our connection to Caldas da Rainha. We wanted an identity that stood for more than the work itself — for the town where we chose to build. Metal Rainha is a tribute to Caldas da Rainha and to its founder, Queen Leonor.
Where it began
We started with limited resources and a great deal of determination.
In those early days we had the support of Mr. Arnaldo Ribeiro, here in Caldas da Rainha, who believed in us and backed us at a point when we had very little to show for ourselves.
The growth did not happen overnight. It took long hours, setbacks, constant learning, investment and, above all, persistence.
How Metal Rainha grew
In little over two years, a great deal has changed.
We have steadily expanded our production capacity, investing in machinery, equipment, tooling and better working conditions. We moved on to more complete projects, from small ironwork commissions through to large metal structures.
Today we fabricate and install gates, railings, staircases, pergolas, roofing, metal structures and other bespoke work, tailoring every commission to what the client actually needs.
A significant milestone was moving into premises of our own, also in Caldas da Rainha, giving us the space and the conditions to produce more, grow further and take on larger work.
We are only getting started
Looking back, we are proud of what it has been possible to build in little over two years.
But we know this story is only beginning.
We keep our feet on the ground, with the same drive we had on the first day: to work, to learn, to improve on what we have built, and to earn our clients' trust.
Metal Rainha started with nothing, grew through hard work, and today has premises of its own, genuine production capacity and, above all, the determination to keep improving.
